Invisalign

1. Do you offer “invisible” orthodontic treatments?
Yes, one of our practitioners is a certified Platinum Elite orthodontist (more than 100 treatments per year). We would like to invite you to an initial consultation without any obligation to show you how you can improve your smile.

2. What is Invisalign®?
Invisalign® is a clinically-proven and virtually invisible way to straighten teeth without the use of metallic braces.
You only need to wear a series of transparent and removable aligners. Those aligners will gradually shift your teeth to the desired position.

3. How much does it cost?
We offer a complete Invisalign® treatment as from 2,500 Euros (price will depend on the length of the treatment). This treatment includes: – an initial consultation – all photos, impressions and recordings – the aligners and follow-up appointments after the treatment

4. How does it work?
Depending on the diagnosis, a series of custom-made aligners will be created especially for you in a laboratory using advanced 3D imaging technology.
You will wear each aligner for two weeks before moving to the next aligner, and so forth, until the final desired result is reached.

5. Why choose Invisalign®?
First of all, Invisalign® is a comfortable orthodontic system.
No restriction on your favourite food: your eating habits stay the same.
(Aligners are not worn during meals)
* Easier to maintain proper oral hygiene
* No irritation or injury to your mouth
Invisalign® is a virtually invisible, aesthetically appealing system.
No one will notice that you are following an orthodontic treatment.

6. Is Invisalign® right for me?
At Dentcare, all problems treated with traditional braces can also be treated with Invisalign®.

7. Does this treatment target only adults?
No, the whole range of Invisalign® products can now treat both adults and teenagers. • Please come for a consultation to know whether Invisalign® is right for you.

8. How do I get started with Invisalign®?
Following an initial evaluation with our practitioner, we will discuss your objectives regarding your new smile. • We will work together to design the right treatment plan for you, and take impressions, x-rays and photos of your teeth.
Thanks to our advanced digital technology, we can show you a virtual representation of how your mouth will look like at the end of your treatment, before you even start the treatment.

9. How long will the treatment take?
The length of the treatment will depend on the severity of your case. Most treatments take 9 to 18 months.

10. How often must I wear my aligners?
For the best possible results, aligners must be worn 20 to 22 hours daily.Every two weeks, you will begin wearing a new set of aligners; we recommend you come in for an appointment every 6 to 8 weeks.

11. Are the aligners really invisible?
The aligners are made from transparent plastic, thus making them virtually invisible. Even from up close, most people won’t realise that you are following an orthodontic treatment unless you decide to tell them about it!

12. Can I eat and drink with my aligners on?
No. Since the aligners are removable, there’s no restriction on eating and drinking.
You will need to wear the aligners at all times, except while eating, drinking and brushing your teeth.

13. Do the aligners hurt?
It is normal to feel a temporary discomfort during the first few days of wearing the aligners. Since they have a smooth surface, the aligners won’t irritate or injure your mouth. However you might experience a feeling of pressure which is a positive sign that the aligners are working and moving your teeth towards their final position.

14. Are there any side effects?
Just like traditional treatments, you might experience a slight feeling of pressure at the beginning.
The aligners may temporarily affect the speech of some people, which may result in a slight lisp for a day or two.

15. Since when does this technology exist ?
Align Technology, Inc., the company that manufactures Invisalign®, was founded in 1997. Since then, more than one million patients have been treated or are currently being treated with Invisalign®.
